Privacy policy

The short version: this site collects only what you type into the contact form, uses it only to reply to you, and never sells or shares it for marketing.

Last updated October 22, 2026

Who this policy covers

teli.ca is an independent IT consulting practice based in Toronto, Ontario. In this policy, “I” and “me” mean teli.ca. This policy covers this website and the contact form on it.

What I collect

When you use the contact form, I receive:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your message

The form asks for nothing else. Please don’t include passwords, account numbers or other sensitive details in your message.

To keep spam out, the contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at technical signals such as your IP address and browser to tell people from automated bots. Like most websites, the hosting service also keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

To understand how the site is used, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It records things like which pages were viewed, the site that referred you, your country, and your browser and device type, and shows them to me only as totals. It doesn’t use cookies and isn’t used to follow you across other websites.

This site doesn’t set cookies and doesn’t use advertising trackers.

How I use it

Only to read your message, reply to you, and do any work you ask me to do. I don’t add you to mailing lists, send marketing, or sell or rent your information to anyone.

Who else handles it

A few services are involved in running this site and getting your message to my inbox:

  • Cloudflare runs the spam check, the visitor statistics, and the small program that receives the form. That program passes your message along and doesn’t store it.
  • Resend delivers the message to my inbox by email. It keeps delivery logs, which can include the message, for a limited period.
  • Microsoft provides the mailbox where your message is received.
  • GitHub hosts this website.

Some of these services store or process information in the United States, so it may be subject to the laws of that country.

How long I keep it

If your enquiry leads to work, I keep our correspondence for as long as it’s needed to do that work and keep proper business records. If it doesn’t, I delete it within 12 months. You can ask me to delete it sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Use the contact form and I’ll respond. If you’re not satisfied with how I’ve handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Client work

If you become a client, any access to your systems or information during the work is agreed with you directly. I’ll never ask you to send a password by email or text.

Changes to this policy

If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
